Andrea von Lieven
 | Bio: | Andrea von Lieven is a Clinical Program Manager at IAVI with 12 years of research experience in Africa. She worked on establishing cohorts for observational studies, implementing HIV VCT in antenatal clinics and providing family planning services to HIV discordant couples. She has worked for the Zimbabwe AIDS Prevention Project (ZAPP) at Stanford University and the Project San Francisco in Rwanda and Zambia at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Upon joining IAVI, she assisted in the conduct of a Phase II preventive HIV vaccine trial in Uganda and Zambia. She relocated to Germany in May 2007 and is heading the Good Clinical Practice Training Program for the African field sites. Andrea certified as a registered nurse in San Francisco.
